Ramasimha has an M.Sc. in Material Science from Bangalore University. He currently works at Prayoga as a Research Associate. His professional experience includes being a Research Assistant in the Material Sciences division at the National Aerospace Laboratories, Bengaluru and setting up the Physics department laboratories at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar from scratch. When not researching the utilization of open source resources in enhancing science teaching and Science communication, he can be found amongst books.

Sridevi .S

Sridevi has an M.Sc. in Electronics from Bangalore University. She currently works at Prayoga as a Research Associate. Prior to working here, she worked as teacher at the BNM school for two years. Her love for taking up exciting tasks and accomplishing them lead her to be a part of Prayoga team. She also says that working at Prayoga boosts her inner thirst to learn, grow and contribute to the field of science. She has a keen interest in teaching and enjoys reading, singing, listening to music and making handicrafts.

Sowmya Praveen

Sowmya has a B.E. in Instrumentation Technology from Ambedkar Institute of Technology. She currently works at Prayoga as a Research Associate. She has previously worked as a teacher at different schools for 7 years. She is trained in the Montessori method of schooling. Physics and Biology are her favourite areas. She is also very keen on child psychology and different pedagogical approaches at the school level. Her hobbies include reading and music.

Anasuya Sharma

Anasuya has a B.E. in Electronics and Communication from BNM Institute of Technology. She pursued the Young India Fellowship at Ashoka University where she obtained a PG Diploma in Liberal Arts. While pursuing the fellowship, she undertook a project with a low-income private school in rural Madhya Pradesh. Working there helped her discover her passion for the education sector, where she intends to make a difference. Post the fellowship, she worked as a Content Writer for 3 months before joining Prayoga as a Research Assistant. She aspires to be a voracious reader, enjoys watching movies and TV shows, is an avid follower of tennis and is a fiercely passionate performer, listener and connoisseur of music.

Sukanya Ramani

Sukanya has a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from P.E.S Institute of Technology, Bengaluru and a Master’s degree in Animal Behaviour, Evolutionary Biology and Neurobiology from Bielefeld University, Germany. She currently works at Prayoga as a Research Associate. For her Master’s thesis, she worked on birds, specifically house sparrows, where she tried to find if relatedness between birds had an effect on aggression. She has also worked on wasps in Indian Institute of Science as a summer fellow of Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research. Research in Germany gave her an opportunity to work with various animals like stick insects and zebra finches. Birds have been her passion since long and still are, so, during free time, if you see a girl carrying a pair of binoculars looking for birds, that's probably her!

Shesha Swaroop

Shesha Swaroop has a Bachelors in Business Administration, with 15 years of work experience. He has been exposed to different roles and responsibilities in various domains and departments viz; transcription/operation support/recruitment/vendor relations/close captioning/subtitling. He presently works as the Admin at Prayoga. His other interests are science fiction (especially time travel), history, and current affairs. He's also an amateur cricket player and plays weekend cricket for the club “Spartans BSK”.

Dr. S. Athavan

Dr. S. Athavan Alias Anand received his Ph.D degree in Chemistry from Drug Discovery Lab, Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. He continued his research in the Organic Chemistry department at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore for the Postdoctoral program. He currently works as a Research Associate at Prayoga. His doctoral and postdoctoral research work primarily focused on Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Drug Design for human tumours and tuberculosis diseases. He has documented his research in peer-reviewed international journals as an author and co-author. He was selected for research fellowships sanctioned by the University Grants Commission and Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi. He has delivered a number of oral presentations related to his research and received best paper presentation awards from various Universities in India. He has also mentored some Master degree students in their research projects. He enjoys cooking and playing with chemicals.

Vinay B. R.

Vinay B.R. has a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry from Bangalore University. He has been involved in the field of chemistry teaching and research for over a decade now. His teaching experience includes innovation-centric education and inclusive education. He is a trained Teacher Developer from the Royal Society of Chemistry, London and has trained over 1000 teachers across various institutions. His interest in chemistry content development led to his involvement in writing the middle- and high school chemistry curriculum for Prayoga. He was also a part of question-paper-setting team for the International Junior Science Olympiad. He has executed various research projects in the field of nanoscience and synthetic organic chemistry. He has joined Prayoga in order to pursue his interest in chemistry education research. He is an avid trekker who has trekked the Western Ghats and the Himalayas. He has also done solo cycle rides in the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Goa.

Akshay Kumar Y. S.

Akshay Kumar Y. S has studied 2nd PU with a combination of PCMB. He is currently an Office Assistant at Prayoga. His hobbies include listening to songs, reading books, playing games and cooking new dishes. He intends to become an entrepreneur in the future and find something new for the country.

Anusha N.P.

Anusha has a Master’s degree in Physics, specialising in Condensed Matter physics, from Kuvempu University, Shimoga. Subsequent to her Postgraduation, she worked as a project assistant at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, where she was responsible for conducting experiments using High field Solid state NMR spectrometers.

She enjoys learning science along with kids who are always excited by their immense sense of curiosity. She is interested in guiding students to learn the science behind phenomena that manifest in their everyday life. She currently works at Prayoga as a Research associate.

When she is not researching, she likes to travel to new places and explore the beauty of nature. She is an athlete and has participated in state level sports competitions and has won many prizes. She has developed interest in fine arts and also likes to play traditional indoor and outdoor games.

B. R. Ravi

B.R. Ravi has an M.Com from Mysore University, with a Diploma in Commercial Practice and Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Board of Technical Education. Ravi has over 35 years of experience in the field of Administration and Facilities. He has worked for multinational companies like Wilkinson Sword Ltd., Glaxo India Ltd, Comsat Max, Astra IDL, General Electric and retired as the Associate Vice President at iGATE Global Solutions Ltd. He has also worked with Oman National Transport Company (Ministry of Transport & Communication), Muscat for a period of 4 years. During his 13 years stay at iGATE, he took care of operations in India as well as the Australia and Mexico centres.

Ravi is a certified Six Sigma holder and has contributed towards achieving CMM Level 5, and also trained his employees on Six Sigma projects, Environment & Health Safety, Business Continuity Plan & Disaster Recovery Plan. Apart from Admin & Facilities, he headed the transport for 4000+ employees at GE and close to 7500 employees at iGATE. He was given the responsibility of building 2 million sq ft of Infrastructure at iGATE across India. Ravi is currently serving as the head of the Admin & Outreach at Prayoga.

Radhika L. K.

Science has been Radhika's favourite subject since childhood, and that made her continue her education in pure science. Radhika has a Masters degree (M.Sc) in Physics from Bangalore University. She worked at CAOS, Indian Institute of Science, as a Project Assistant for a few months and later started teaching. Radhika has worked in National College as a Lecturer in Physics for Class 11 and Class 12 students. For her, teaching or learning only the theoretical aspects of science doesn't make sense, and she would like to perform experiments to get a proper understanding of science. She currently works a Research Associate at Prayoga. She hopes that Prayoga gives her opportunities that trigger her creativity and make her a good thinker. Apart from her career, Radhika love animals, listening to music, painting, photography and making art crafts. She spends her free time reading books. Writing poems is one of her hobbies.

Manasa Sharma

Manasa is a graduate from St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with a triple major in Biotechnology, Chemistry and Zoology. For her term paper, she has worked on Probiotic bacteria and antibiotic resistance. She has also worked on a short project concerning Endophytic interactions in Cacti. She wants to work in the field of Science communication and Science journalism. She currently works at Prayoga. In her free time, she obsessively makes to-do lists and listens to Coldplay. She is a typical bookworm and potter-head.

Vaishnavi Bhat

Vaishnavi has a Master's degree in Biochemistry. The project she worked on during the time was - 'Evaluation of invitro antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity of Artocarpus heterophyllus and Litchi chenensis'. She has published two research papers on the same.

She has been teaching for the past one year and enjoys the company and knowledge follow. She currently works at Prayoga as Research Associate. She is an animal lover and loves spending time outdoors in nature. She also happens to be very passionate about reading, craft and outdoor sports.

Pratistha Agarwal

Pratistha obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Dehradun and Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Bangalore University. As a part of her research project, she worked on 'Isolation, Characterization and Identification of Bacteria by 16S rRNA Gene Sequencing'. Before joining Prayoga, she served at Vedantu Innovations for a short period of time as a Doubt Expert. She currently works at Prayoga as a Research Associate.

As much as she loves her field of study, she is also interested in other things. She is an avid reader and travel enthusiast who enjoys nature. She looks forward to creating a better future along with her team here at Prayoga.

Dr. Prathik Cherian

Dr. Prathik did his Ph.D. in Quantum Information Theory from the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai. Prior to that, he pursued an undergraduate degree in Physics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi.

Over the course of his Ph.D. tenure, he started developing an interest in teaching physics. Ultimately, that has led him to pedagogical research in science education and to Prayoga. Through the work in Prayoga, he hopes to create a meaningful impact on science pedagogy in India. He is also very keen on science communication as he views better engagement of the larger public with science as being critical to society.

He is also an enthusiastic photographer, traveler and a sports fanatic of the wear-your- heart-on-your-sleeve persuasion.

Dr. Subhadip Senapati

Dr. Subhadip Senapati has completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Arizona State University, and postdoctoral research from Case Western Reserve University. During his doctoral and postdoctoral studies, he worked on different projects trying to understand the structures and functions of different biomolecules primarily using atomic force microscopy. During the course of his PhD, he taught general chemistry and organic chemistry courses to undergraduate students, and became interested in teaching, and creating academic contents. He also mentored MSc and PhD students in the past few years.

He loves travelling, and enjoys sports and music.

Dr. Manpreet Kaur

Dr. Manpreet Kaur has completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry (Chemical Crystallography) from the University of Mysore, Mysuru, followed by 3 years of postdoctoral experience as a Postdoctoral Teaching/Research Associate at Keene State College and Florida International University in the USA. She started tutoring middle and high school students since her master studies, followed by serving as a part time chemistry faculty at BASE, Mysuru for the Foundation in Science and Technology program during the entire course of her PhD. Her experience being a teacher in various capacities in two different countries has exposed her to the different pedagogical tools and methods employed to enhance student learning in diverse environments, and an opportunity to interact with students with diverse backgrounds. All these enriching experiences have led her to be part of the chemical education research at Prayoga.

Things that hold her interest outside of work are plants, stand-up comedy, shows/movies that need subtitles, human psychology/behaviour and zumba.

Dr. Venkata Krishna

Dr. Venkata Krishna pursued his post graduate degree in Microbiology from Dayananda Sagar College, Bangalore. He has completed his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, and has the credit of qualifying National Eligibility Test (NET). He is a life member of the Society of Biological Chemists (SBC, India).

Dr. Krishna's doctoral research work primarily focused on treatment of Jaundice and microbial degradation of environmentally toxic dyes. He has documented his research in 13 peer-reviewed national and international journals as an author and co-author, and participated in several national and international conferences and workshops. He has delivered a number of poster and oral presentations related to his research and received the 'Best Paper Presentation' award from Reva University. He has also mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research projects.

During the course of his academics, he taught Microbiology, Biotechnology and Nursing courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and became interested in teaching and creating academic content. Over the course of his Ph.D., he started developing an interest in teaching Biology. Ultimately, that has led him to pedagogical research in science education and to Prayoga.
